Fibrecrete "G" is a hot
applied synthetic polymer modified resin compound containing mineral
fillers, chopped fibers, sand and graded granite aggregates
Fibrecrete is designed to replace traditional cementitious repairs which
are prone to failure due to their stiffness. Fibrecrete leaves an
impervious, color matched hard wearing finish. The finished product has
good tensile strength, flexibility and resists compression and wheel
tracking.
Fibrecrete "B" is a unique
modified bitumen with fiber reinforcement, rubber granules and granite
aggregates. This highly ductile material remains flexible at low, and
stable at high temperatures. Fibrecrete "B" can be applied throughout the
year. Fast installation minimizes costly traffic management and disruption. The finished repair can withstand very high traffic
loading within minutes of application. Neat in appearance, Fibrecrete
"B" is
designed to blend with the surrounding surface. Fibrecrete "B" can be
applied using the following repair systems:
Recessed
Repair System
One of the most troublesome areas of pavement maintenance today is the
repair of reflective and fatigue cracking. When allowed to advance
untreated, structural repairs will be required which are expensive and
disruptive to traffic. After many years of research and development
Recessed Fibrecrete has been perfected as an economic and efficient
solution to these problems.
Deep Repair System
The defective
area is removed to the required width and depth and where necessary the
existing joint sealing compound is removed. Loose material and debris is
mechanically swept and removed from the site. The area is thoroughly
cleaned with controlled use of hot compressed air. Where the repair
depth is excessive, hot applied Fibrecrete material is bulked out with
larger aggregate. The remaining recess is then filled with Fibrecrete
compound to finish flush with the pavement surface. While Fibrecrete is
still molten a dressing of pre-heated high PSV aggregate is applied.

Fast installation
minimizes costly traffic management and disruption.

The finished repair can
withstand very high traffic loading within minutes of application.
-
The repair is totally
impervious to water and salts thus arresting further deterioration.
SAMI Stress Absorbing
Membrane Interlayer
Asphalt overlays
need protection from the shortcomings of the surface upon which they are
laid. All too often the life of the new asphalt is greatly reduced by
cracks propagated from the joints or faults in the underlying surface.
SAMI can be installed before laying the new asphalt to reduce this
problem. Whether in asphalt or concrete, the crack or joint and the
surrounding surface must be thoroughly cleaned and dried using Hot
Compressed Air immediately prior to the application of the SAMI. The
Fibrecrete compound, which has been pre-heated to the pouring
temperature of between 350 ° -390 °F in a purpose purpose built
horizontally agitated mixer, is applied through a screed box to fill the
voids in the cracks and joints and form the membrane in one operation.
Finally a dressing of hot high PSV aggregate is applied and compacted
with a power roller. Any surplus aggregate is then removed.
